Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Technical Proposal Engineer to steer the ITO phase, translating client needs into competitive EPC solutions. You will architect winning bids and manage scope, BOM, and cost estimates across engineering, testing, and commissioning.

You’ll collaborate with proposal managers, sourcing, and engineers to craft robust bid packages, advocate technically with commercial teams, and verify designs meet industry standards. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in substation/electrical design, specs, and estimating for power generation/transmission.
• 2+ years in technical proposal writing and management.
• Strong HV/EHV substation design, protection & control, SCADA, and power studies.
• Ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Architect winning solutions for bids, translating client needs into competitive EPC offers.
• Lead the ITO phase with scope, BOM, and cost estimation for engineering, testing, and commissioning.
• Design reusable methodologies and templates to improve bid cost and efficiency.

• Perform studies to verify design integrity and ensure compliance with industry standards.
