Capital One is building a Site Reliability Engineering center in Mexico City. We are hiring a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability and operational maturity of our settlement platforms.

These are batch-critical systems that process every credit and debit transaction across the network. You will drive observability, automation, incident response, and audit-ready artifacts for SOX and PCI-DSS while collaborating with UK engineers in a hybrid on‑prem and cloud environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years in SRE/production operations or reliability engineering.
• 5+ years in Java, Python, or Go.
• 3+ years with cloud-native technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 3+ years with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsabilidades

• Own reliability for batch settlement systems, ensuring cycle completion and data integrity.
• Build observability for settlement pipelines with dashboards and alerts.
• Automate operational toil such as certificate rotation and environment provisioning.
• Partner with UK-based engineers and ensure SLA adherence.
• Participate in incident management and root-caused fixes.
• Contribute to regulatory readiness for SOX and PCI-DSS.
