Nasdaq is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our global Calypso team, helping build, customize, and support Calypso-based workflows across capital markets. You’ll work to design integrations and deliver reliable, scalable solutions in fast-paced environments.

The role focuses on Java and R development, collaborating with product, engineering, and client teams to implement enhancements and ensure successful projects. Hybrid work in Mexico City with in-office days.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or equivalent.
• 5+ years of enterprise software development and support.
• Strong Calypso experience in capital markets.
• Proficient in Java and R with integration experience.

Senior Software Engineer, Calypso

We’re looking for a Calypso Developer to join our team. In this role, you’ll help build, customize, and support solutions that power critical workflows across global capital markets organizations.

You’ll fit right in if you’re curious, collaborative, and enjoy solving complex technical challenges. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering reliable, scalable solutions that create value for clients.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, customize, and support Calypso solutions for clients in the capital markets industry.
• Design and build integrations between Calypso and external systems using APIs and enterprise messaging technologies.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java and R to support business and operational requirements.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and client teams to implement enhancements and deliver successful projects.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize system performance, and contribute to continuous product improvements.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise software solutions.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Calypso in capital markets environments.
• Strong programming experience with Java and R , including solution development, customization, and integration work.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Docker, and distributed architectures.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, JMS, MQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Experience working with trading, risk management, treasury, or post-trade workflows.

This position will be located in Mexico and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
