Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in systems analysis, particularly in the capital markets, excellent knowledge of Java and related technologies, and be proficient in English. We are seeking a Technical Consultant with relevant work experience in the capital markets or at a financial software company. You will be part of a team of consultant which will be designing, implementing, and supporting the solution to the Client. You will act as a key player in the successful delivery of client’s solutions.Typical Technical Analyst Day in Nasdaq• Design/Implementation of the solution: Configuration and customization (Custom Code using Java, Messaging, and reporting templates)• Defining and improvement of best practices• Meetings with clients (Requirements, support, demonstration, training …)• People development: eLearning, documentation, presentations, certification.• Follow up on pending items (Jira)Responsibilities• Train users and customer developers on the basic use of the system, particularly with the technical setup.• Work with the business analysts, core development, or customer development to code prototypes of enhancements to ensure they will meet business requirements.• The technical consultant will then typically follow up with the users to test the implementation, achieve signoff, and continue to move the system toward go-live.• Assist developers in understanding the API required to extend the system, add data to the system, and build interfaces between our and external systems.• Work hands-on with the system, configuring it and testing that it meets the customer’s technical requirements.• In-depth, hands-on involvement directly with customers implementing our system.• Act as a point of contact between Customer Delivery and Research & Development and Calypso Cloud Team.• Work directly with the customer project team implementing the system and assist them in implementing their users’ requirements.• System installation, including Java JRE download and installation, relational database installation, data model installation and upgrade scripts, setup, and configuration of the event-driven framework, configuration of real-time market data feed, etc.What we value• More than 5 years’ experience working in systems or technical analysis, preferably in the capital markets industry with software including Java, REST API, RMI, J2EE, Spring Boot, Docker, and containers.• Being autonomous, proactive, and be able to self-train yourself with our eLearning platform• Good level of self-management, time management and follow up on daily tasks.• Excellent object-oriented analysis, design & development skills• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL including working experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle• Experience designing/building front-to-back capital markets trading systems will be especially valuable.• Expose yourself through your work to become a point of reference within the Customer Delivery Organization.• Excellent interpersonal skills.
