Helix is hiring Senior Software Engineers to build genomic healthcare platforms, leveraging AI agents to design, implement, and optimize software across four teams. You will own critical services, scale systems, and push the envelope on AI-driven development.

You will collaborate with product managers, scientists, and leaders to deliver high-impact solutions in a fast-paced environment, with hybrid work in Mexico City and opportunities for US collaboration.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in backend languages (Go, Java, Python, Scala, Rust) or full-stack (TypeScript/React + backend).
• Experience delegating implementation to AI agents and evaluating results.
• Familiarity with IaC tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Strong data modeling and data quality practices.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Lead projects from scoping through implementation to deliver real business impact.
• Delegate implementation to AI agents with precise instructions and audit-ready evaluation.
• Explore and champion new AI tools, frameworks, and workflows across pipelines.
• Design and implement scalable software systems for Helix products with lifecycle awareness.
• Take ownership of services and guide significant codebase areas.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, scientists and business leaders.
• Identify and address technical debt; mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
• Contribute to setting technical standards and governance beyond the team.
