Koltin is seeking a product-driven Senior Software Engineer in Mexico to drive projects end to end, from unclear problems to shipped solutions across the stack. You will partner with product, design, data, and operations to deliver secure, reliable systems.

You’ll mentor others, own complex features, and ensure data integrity and observability while adopting AI-powered tooling to boost productivity.

About the role

We’re looking for a product-driven Senior Software Engineer to drive projects end to end, from unclear problems to shipped solutions focusing on impact. You’ll work across the stack as needed, partnering closely with product, design, data, and operations.

Success in this role means partnering with product to frame problems then taking them through production delivering secure, reliable, and maintainable systems.

You’re a good fit if you:

• Lead debugging of complex production issues calmly, using metrics, logs, traces, and data inspection to test hypotheses and find root causes.

• Owns end-to-end delivery of complex features or critical workflows
  • Trusted to handle ambiguity and trade-offs aligned with team and business priorities
  • Defines technical approaches for projects, balancing simplicity, reliability, and maintainability
  • Drives technical discussions with cross functional members (product, design) and stakeholders
• Leads debugging of difficult production issues with calm and focus
  • Ensures the project has baseline observability (metrics, logs, exceptions) from inception
  • Plans and executes hypothesis-driven debugging using observability and production data
• Multiplies the effectiveness of other engineers
  • Coaches and unblocks more junior engineers helping them grow into broader ownership
  • Mentors more junior engineers through context-sharing, design discussions, and system framing
  • Collaborates and grow peers on areas of self expertise
• Project-level ownership of data correctness
  • Owns data quality, observability, auditing, confidentiality, and incident response for the project’s data paths.
  • Designs and maintains schemas and transformations (tables, events, payloads) balancing speed, structure, backward compatibility and future proofing.
  • Designs monitoring from inception for data invariants and failure modes (e.g. missing records, duplication, stale or inconsistent states).
  • Partners with other functions to ensure engineering systems produce trustworthy, well-modeled data by default.
• Champions engineering excellence (reliability, testing, maintainability)
  • Improves architecture as a whole: modularity, layering, boundaries
  • Influences technical direction: how we structure code, how we test, how we operate
  • Influences internal process improvements: reviews, testing and deployment practices
  • Leads by example in reviews, incident handling, and tech planning
• Close to the business, goes after the problem
  • Goes after the why before the how, and says so when the ask and the problem don’t match
  • Shapes with the squad rather than waiting for a framed ticket, and talks to the people who live the problem
  • Knows the numbers their project moves by heart, and drives it until they move
