Jobgether is seeking a Security Engineer III - Security Operations for a partner-based role in Mexico. You will own detection and response capabilities, build detections across Elastic SIEM and AWS, and automate workflows with Python and no-code tools.

Collaborate to reduce risk and improve security maturity across a globally distributed team. The role emphasizes hands-on security engineering, incident response, and ongoing improvement of security tooling within a modern payments environment.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and tuning SIEM detections.
• Experience with Elastic is preferred; Splunk or MS Sentinel are relevant.
• Practical AWS security experience and cloud-native detection.
• Python proficiency for scripting and tooling.
• Experience with Terraform or other IaC technologies.
• Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK framework and incident response.
• Ability to triage, investigate, and resolve security incidents.
• Strong written communication for documenting findings.
• Ability to work independently and own duties including on-call.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

• Plan and deliver end-to-end detection and response initiatives.
• Build, tune, and maintain detections across Elastic SIEM and AWS.
• Manage the security investigations queue and triage alerts.
• Document investigations and findings for follow-up actions.
• Develop runbooks and automation using Python and no-code tools.
• Make risk decisions and escalate where needed.
• Support compliance by maintaining audit-ready controls.
• Use Terraform and Python to improve security tooling infra.
• Participate in on-call rotation for monitoring and response.
• Continuously improve detection coverage and response efficiency.
