Job summary

Coforge is seeking a Release Engineer to define and support release processes and tools for mission-critical services. You will work closely with Software Engineers, Platform Engineers, QA, and Test Automation to enable automated, reliable deployments.

You will influence release strategy and help build scalable infrastructure solutions in a remote, collaborative environment. Strong experience with release management, GitHub, and Jenkins is valued.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in an enterprise software organization.
• 3+ years real world experience with Release Management discipline and processes.
• Excellent knowledge with GitHub; support with git PR merge, pull, sync, etc. issues.
• Jenkins: managing jenkins jobs / jenkins pipeline DSLs.
• Nice to have: Python scripting.
• Excellent facilitation, organization and collaboration skills.
• Possess knowledge in SDLC methodologies, Agile preferred.
• Good understanding of Microservices, Serverless/EKS and API Driven Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Platform Engineers, QA and Test Automation teams.
• Coordinate Bi-weekly Production releases with engineering managers across cross-functional teams.
• Develop self-service tools for automated production deployments with quality controls.
• Leverage REST API frameworks for Jenkins, Github, Jira and Confluence to enable automation.
• Migrate applications from Datacenter to AWS with DevOps support.
• Automate release and compliance processes where needed.
• Troubleshoot builds, deployments, and connectivity as required.
