Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Relationship Associate in Mexico to assist clients in raising funds and provide strategic advisory for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions in coordination with Institutional Banking. The role also involves intermediary trading for clients and driving investment strategy with Citi products.

You will support credit requests, KYC, treasury relationships, and ensure compliance while coordinating with global and local teams to close transactions and optimize client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field is required.
• Credit knowledge including accounting and lending concepts is preferred.
• Familiarity with Citi products and internal tools is a plus.
• Understanding of documentation like LCs, ISDA/CSA and related agreements.
• Knowledge of treasury models, funding strategies, and banking relationships.
• Strong analytical ability and sound judgment in decisions.
• Ability to adapt communication style for client portfolio coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key contact for routine credit requests and documentation.
• Assist with relationship reviews and KYC across products and levels.
• Interact with cash managers and treasury personnel for transactional issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of investigations across credit, FX, cash, and trade services.
• Facilitate credit originations, allocations, approvals, and renewals for Standby LCs.
• Negotiate language for standardized FX/Derivatives and working capital loans.
• Identify revenue opportunities and monitor revenues and billing in CIS.
• Represent banking coverage in client meetings and assist in closing transactions.
• Assess risk and uphold Citi policies, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
