Job summary

Applaudo Studios is seeking a Senior Functional QA Engineer to lead testing of SaaS billing and cloud-data integrations. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans focused on billing configurations, subscription lifecycles, invoices and payment events, while validating REST API touchpoints and data parity across systems.

You will collaborate with platform admins and technical stakeholders, document tests and defects, and ensure coverage of edge cases and negative scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field is desired or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Functional Quality Assurance for SaaS or enterprise apps.
• Strong experience testing via web interfaces.
• Ability to create structured test plans covering workflows, integrations, negative scenarios, boundaries and edge cases.
• Hands-on testing of billing or subscription workflows (invoices, payments, mid-cycle changes).
• Experience with functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• REST API testing with Postman/Newman or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a comprehensive functional testing plan for SaaS billing and cloud-data integrations.
• Design test scenarios for billing configurations, subscription lifecycles, invoices and payment processing.
• Execute functional tests through graphical interfaces of the platform.
• Validate configurations, workflows and integration touchpoints across edge cases.
• Coordinate testing with platform administrators and technical stakeholders.
• Validate REST API touchpoints using Postman or similar tools.
• Review data-parity reports and queries to spot anomalies and discrepancies.
• Document test cases, evidence, results and defects for audit trails.
• Collaborate with business/engineering to align test coverage with rules and integration behavior.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, blockers, defects and quality concerns clearly.
• Perform regression testing to ensure defects do not affect related workflows.
