Incedo Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to strengthen our data-heavy applications with automated tests and robust CI/CD integration.

You will design frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, and Python, and collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Project teams to raise quality early in the SDLC. Ideal candidates have 4-7 years in QA/Test Automation, strong Python skills, and experience testing data-intensive systems, APIs, and databases.

Formación

• 4-7 years of QA, software testing, or test automation experience.
• Hands-on Python development for test automation, API testing, and data validation.
• Experience testing data-heavy applications, financial reporting, analytics, or large data workflows.
• Strong SQL skills for backend validation and data reconciliation.
• Experience testing REST APIs with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Evidence of mentoring or leading testing efforts within teams.

Responsabilidades

• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing approaches, quality metrics, and automation strategies for complex, data-intensive applications.


• Quality Advocacy: Promote quality-first practices and participate actively in requirements reviews, sprint planning, and release activities.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Project teams to identify risks, validate requirements, and ensure quality is integrated early in the SDLC (Shift-Left approach).


• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and support to junior QA engineers and contribute to building QA best practices across the team.

Automation Development & Maintenance

• Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs using Playwright, Cypress, and modern testing tools.


• Python Automation: Develop and maintain test automation solutions, data validation scripts, API testing frameworks, and utility tools using Python.


• Test Coverage Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to expand automation coverage and improve testing efficiency.


• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality and faster feedback cycles.

Delivery & Quality Assurance

• Data & Report Validation: Design and execute test strategies for complex financial reports, data pipelines, dashboards, and data-heavy applications.


• API & Database Testing: Perform API, backend, and database validation through automated and manual testing approaches.


• Defect Management: Investigate defects, conduct root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution.


• Release Validation: Support release testing, regression execution, and production-readiness assessments.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 4-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Test Automation.


• Python Development: Hands‑on experience with Python for test automation, API testing, data validation, framework development, and scripting.


• Data‑Intensive Systems: Experience testing data‑heavy applications, financial reporting systems, analytics platforms, or complex data workflows.


• SQL & Data Validation: Strong capability in writing complex SQL queries for backend validation, data reconciliation, and database testing.


• API Testing: Practical experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and automated API testing frameworks.


• CI/CD & Agile: Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, test management tools (Jira, Xray, TestRail), and Agile/Scrum environments.


• Communication Skills: Strong collaboration, problem‑solving, and stakeholder communication skills.


• Leadership Potential: Experience mentoring junior team members or leading testing efforts within a project team.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or similar.


• Experience with Python testing frameworks such as Pytest, Behave, or Robot Framework.


• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or other CI/CD platforms.


• Exposure to data engineering concepts, ETL testing, and data pipeline validation.


• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
