Luxoft is seeking a senior Software Developer in Mexico to build scalable back-end systems using Python 3.12+ and FastAPI. You will implement secure authentication with OAuth/JWT, work with MongoDB Beanie, and deploy in containers with Docker.

The role emphasizes cloud services, event-driven microservices and observability in an Agile environment. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-impact features, support production systems, and participate in migrating legacy

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Advanced proficiency in Python 3.12+ and backend development.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with engineers, designers and management to build, test and deploy features.
• Scale and improve products; maintain a high-quality codebase.
• Lead integration with third-party systems and healthcare data interoperability.
• Design robust APIs using REST and FastAPI; ensure security with OAuth/JWT.
• Participate in Agile processes with QA, product management and ops.
• Maintain legacy apps and migrate to newer tech when needed.
• Drive research to resolve bugs and improve system reliability.

Responsibilities

• - Work closely with other engineers, designers, and management teams to rapidly build, iterate, test, and deploy new features and products and main a high-quality robust codebase- Improve and scale the existing products and tools- Launch new projects from ideation to completion- Actively support your team's deployed software- Drive the development team towards the goal by integrating skills and experiences.- design integration with 3rd parties (Python AWS interoperability role)- work with Auths (Authorizations) process - connect to many different systems interoperability via healthcare data / companies / health systems / EMR- Work with QA, product management, and operations in an Agile environment.- Develop and support data-driven product decisions in a high energy high-impact team.- Participate in the resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions.- To maintain legacy applications and participate in the migration to newer technology in the mid-term if needed.- Collaborate and drive research to find the solution to system bugs and issues.

SKILLS

Must have

• - 5+ years of professional software development experience- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns- Advanced proficiency in Python 3.12+ as software or data engineering- MongoDB, ideally with Beanie ODM (async) for persistence layer- OAuth/OIDC + JWT — auth via Keycloak and Descope; backend is provider-agnostic, works off JWT claims- Docker / docker-compose — everything runs in containers- Mastery of API design (REST), FastAPI (async)- Comprehensive grasp of databases (SQL/NoSQL)- Expertise in cloud services- Experience with Event-Driven Microservices Identity management/OAuth- Experience with observability, tracing, and other cloud-native patterns

- Healthcare interoperability resources (FHIR) R4, SMART Health Links/Cards (SHL/SHC)- JWE decryption- Testing discipline: pytest + Cucumber/Playwright E2E- QR/image decoding (pyzbar/zbar)- storage connector integration (Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, SMTP, FHIR servers)- Observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus- infrastructure: Apache Kafka, AWS Secrets Manager
