Job summary

EPAM Systems in Mexico is seeking a Python Tech Lead to drive the development team, set technical direction, and deliver scalable, high-quality software. You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and ensure timely delivery of complex projects.

You will work with Django, Flask, FastAPI, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), advocate for testing, agile practices, and continuous improvement, while building strong cross-functional partnerships.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python expertise with Django/Flask/FastAPI.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker.
• Unit testing and test-driven development experience.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• English level at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Lead development teams with technical guidance and collaboration.
• Lead advanced debugging to resolve production and development issues.
• Ensure products deliver business value, are timely, and high quality with low technical debt.
• Act as a role model, fostering learning and continuous improvement.
• Introduce and implement process improvements to boost team efficiency.
• Participate in staff hiring, onboarding, and career development initiatives.
• Provide tactical vision and take technical responsibility for subsystems or projects.
• Work independently, own deliverables, and thoroughly test work using defined test cases.
