Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Principal Reservoir Engineer to lead high-impact reservoir engineering consulting across the Latin America region, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and delivering strategic insights to clients.

You will mentor staff, drive technical studies, and support business development while ensuring compliance with quality systems and GCea procedures. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, with extensive industry experience and a Petroleum Engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Petroleum Engineering degree with 15+ years in the industry.
• At least 7 years experience with an oil and gas operator.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with strong client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide reservoir engineering input to multi-disciplinary projects, including field development planning and reserves auditing.
• Lead reservoir studies using methods such as reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, well test analysis, and PVT/SCAL data analysis.
• Advise clients on reserves, resources evaluation, and reporting methodology.
• Manage projects, perform peer reviews, and coordinate client communications as the principal point of contact.
• Contribute to business development and lead technical input for client proposals.
• Act as regional focal point for development, implementation, or optimization of deliverables and processes.
• Represent GCea externally through publications and industry involvement.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
• Ensure compliance with GCea procedures and quality management systems.
