Job summary

DXC Technology in Mexico City is seeking an experienced backend architect/developer to assess and replace a 34-microservice architecture with AI-augmented, modern services. You will design Python/TypeScript backends, migrate databases, and build data pipelines, all while maintaining governance and ADRs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C#/.NET Core 8+ and modern backend design.
• Experience with Python for AI/ML, data pipelines, and automation.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills for full-stack services.
• Ability to design and consume JSON APIs and API contracts.
• Experience with Markdown for ADRs, runbooks, and docs.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) for CI/CD and deployment.
• Strong SQL and database design with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and analytics stores.
• Data modelling and analysis to design AI-ready data schemas.
• Familiarity with AI-first tooling (Copilot/Claude Code).
• LLM integration and evaluation of AI-driven components.
• API-first design including REST/GraphQL and event patterns.

Responsibilities

• Assess and decompose a 34-microservice backend to identify simplification opportunities.
• Design and build next-generation services with Python/TypeScript and AI augmentation.
• Own database redesign migrating Oracle/ MSSQL to PostgreSQL and AI-ready schemas.
• Build data quality and validation pipelines for reliable AI outputs.
• Replace rigid orchestrations with AI-driven workflows and event patterns.
• Develop LLM-powered solutions to replace costing rules and calculations.
• Oversee migration pathways with strangler fig approach without service disruption.
• Tune performance and improve observability with Grafana and ELK stack.
