faurecia S.A. seeks a Plant Manager in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to oversee the production plant's operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role requires managing P&L, driving improvements, and preparing future leaders.

Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering and at least 4 years of experience in a similar role. Competitive salary and growth opportunities are offered.

Formación

  • Proven experience in production management and Toyota production system.
  • Proven experience in team management with leadership and coaching skills.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The role of a Plant Manager is to manage a production plant.

Their permanent target is to deliver its budget commitment measured through gross margin and inventory levels, which means:

  • Set targets for their Plant
  • Secure foundations in their perimeter: safety of employees; adequate customer satisfaction: quality and on-time deliveries; empowered employees and work force
  • Manage P&L to drive the appropriate actions with the plant management team; to adapt their Plant resources and costs to volume variation & strategic plan perspective
  • Secure new programs launch preparation and contribute to business plan convergence
  • Deploy FES and integrate the Digital transformation in their Plant
  • Develop talents and prepare future Managers
The main missions of the role:
  • Secure foundations:
    • Ensure safety of employees
    • Ensure respect for the environment and secure Internal Control of the Plant
    • Promote and ensure the respect of the code of ethics and code of management.
    • Ensure permanent customer satisfaction and intimacy: quality and on-time deliveries
    • Empower employees and workforce
    • Fulfill legal responsibilities and interface with local authorities
    • Manage labor relations and social climate / employee satisfaction
  • Deliver budget commitments, in terms of Gross Margin, Inventory, Capex, fixed cost
  • Set targets and develop improvement plans accordingly
  • Secure new program launches from acquisition to deployment
  • Deploy FES (Faurecia Excellence System) and integrate the Digital transformation
  • Develop talent and prepare future managers
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Minimum education level
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (preferred) from engineering school
Professional Experience
  • At least 4 years of experience as Plant Manager in metal mechanic processes
  • Experience in Stamping presses
  • Proven and successful experience in production management and lean manufacturing /production system / Toyota production system
  • Proven experience in team management with leadership and coaching skills
Skills and competencies
  • Ability to build, manage and deliver a P&L budget. Knowledge in Finance.
  • Results oriented
  • Must have recognized leadership and coaching skills (motivating others)
  • Fluent English
