Forvia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to plan, coordinate and oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance across production equipment, robots and plant systems in San Luis Potosí. You will lead technicians, drive KPIs like OEE, MTBF and MTTR, and ensure safety and compliance with IATF 16949 standards. English is a plus.

You will collaborate with engineering to install new equipment and execute continuous improvements to maximize asset availability and reliability.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in maintenance; 2+ years in leadership roles.
  • Experience with preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Experience in failure analysis and reliability methodologies (RCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA).

Responsabilidades

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment, robots, welding systems, automated devices and plant infrastructure.
  • Monitor KPIs such as OEE, availability, MTBF, MTTR and maintenance costs.
  • Lead maintenance personnel, allocate resources and promote continuous training in automation and welding technologies.
  • Coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with preventive/predictive maintenance schedules and IATF 16949 quality requirements.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities
General Objective

Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for equipment, robots, automated cells, welding systems, and plant infrastructure, according to the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring optimal operation, maximum availability, and reliability while complying with the organization's safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Attend the shift start-up meeting (Top 5 Meeting).
  • Comply with the Internal Work Regulations, the 7 Mandatory Safety Rules, the 13 Logistics Safety Rules, and all company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards while promoting a safe work culture within the maintenance area.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment, robots, welding systems, automated devices, and plant infrastructure.
  • Ensure availability and reliability of production assets, minimizing unplanned downtime.
  • Monitor key maintenance KPIs such as OEE, availability, MTBF, MTTR, preventive maintenance compliance, and maintenance costs.
  • Analyze performance indicators to identify trends and equipment conditions and establish action plans that drive positive results.
  • Manage and develop maintenance personnel (supervisors and technicians), allocating resources, setting priorities, and promoting continuous training in automation, robotics, controls, and welding technologies.
  • Coordinate the resolution of critical failures using root cause analysis methodologies and corrective actions to eliminate recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, including timely inspections, calibrations, and equipment preservation activities.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, including maintenance plans, failure histories, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic diagrams, and control programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements (IATF 16949), including internal, external, and customer audits related to maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement, reliability, and technology modernization projects aimed at increasing equipment efficiency, reducing costs, and improving operational performance.
  • Participate in the installation, startup, and validation of new equipment, automated production lines, and projects, ensuring efficient integration into manufacturing processes.
  • Follow FORVIA/Faurecia Excellence System standards in daily work.
  • Maintain 5S standards within the work area.
  • Attend company-required training and apply acquired knowledge.
  • Comply with the Code of Ethics and report any violations.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • English Intermediate.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the maintenance field (preferably in companies with similar technologies).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supervisory, coordination, or maintenance team leadership positions.
  • Experience implementing and managing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Experience in failure analysis and problem-solving using continuous improvement and reliability methodologies (RCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA, etc.).
  • Experience managing maintenance performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • TPM Levels 1-5; resource planning and management (backlog, shutdowns, budgeting).
  • Equipment reliability (RCM).
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis tools (KATA/QRCI, 5W, 8D, etc.).
  • MTBF, MTTR, and OEE calculations.
  • Basic programming and fault recovery for ABB, Fanuc, and KUKA robots.
  • Industrial electricity.Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
