Job summary

Cummins Inc. seeks a Payroll Tax/Compliance Manager to lead our Payroll team for Cummins Services – HR Operations at Cummins Comercializadora in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. This hybrid role requires expertise in US and Canadian payroll tax and strong collaboration with HR and external agencies.

The role emphasizes process optimization, regulatory compliance, and mentorship of a tax analytics team. A relocation package is offered and the position is on-site with flexible options.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience managing US/CA payroll tax teams.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, local payroll tax laws.
• Experience in a large, complex organization.
• Proven ability to lead/supervise tax analysts for at least 3 years.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Experience with ADP/ SAP payroll systems and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary payroll tax expert for US and Canadian payroll operations and regulatory compliance.
• Research, analyze, and resolve complex payroll tax issues with authorities.
• Lead payroll tax compliance for hires, transfers, and organizational changes.
• Communicate with federal/state/provincial agencies to resolve issues.
• Audit payroll tax configurations and reporting setups to reduce risk.
• Oversee W‑2/W‑2c processing and record remediation.
• Support payroll tax audits with documentation and analysis.
• Identify process improvements in payroll tax controls.
