Bluelight, a leading software consultancy, seeks a backend-focused software engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our rapidly growing team. You will build low-latency API services in AWS, design scalable RESTful APIs, and work with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL while collaborating across frontend and backend efforts.

This role emphasizes ownership, strong problem solving, and a track record of delivering high-quality software.

Formación

• 5+ years professional software development experience, backend-focused.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing.
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed.
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
