Bluelight is a rapidly growing software consultancy seeking a senior backend-focused developer. You will design and implement scalable, low-latency API services on AWS, craft secure multi-tenant data models, and collaborate across full-stack tasks.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years with Node.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and strong testing practices. Remote-friendly role with ongoing learning and compensation growth.

Formación

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations with node-postgres and node-pg-migrate.
• Professional experience with React.
• Good testing practices including integration tests against real databases and fault-injection testing.
• Experience with AI coding assistants in daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development and contributing to frontend when needed.
• Background with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build low-latency, scalable RESTful APIs on AWS.
• Ensure secure multi-tenant data models and RBAC/RLS.
• Write and optimize SQL with migrations using node-postgres tools.
• Collaborate on frontend tasks when needed and contribute to overall system design.
• Implement tests including integration tests against real databases.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments on ECS/Fargate.
• Work with AI coding assistants to improve development workflows.
• Maintain high code quality with adherence to best practices and thorough documentation.
