Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in TIJUANA, MX is seeking an experienced molding engineer to design, implement, and optimize mold tooling and manufacturing processes for thermoplastics, thermosets, and silicones. You will collaborate with Product Development, Supply Chain, and quality teams to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Molding/Polymer/Manufacturing Engineering, 5+ years in molding environments, strong CAD and mold

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Molding Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in molding-focused engineering or manufacturing.
Advanced English (written and verbal).
Strong mold processing and tooling design for thermoplastics/thermosets/silicones; resins a plus.
Proficient in CAD and mold flow software; JMP or Minitab advantageous.
Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing; exposure to regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

Apply advanced knowledge to mold tooling design, construction, and sourcing.
Evaluate and implement new molding technologies within the footprint.
Provide mold-related guidance on processing, tooling, materials, quality, and capacity.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving with data-driven methods.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Product Development for cost targets and manufacturability.
Ensure documentation of molding processes, tooling, and standards; participate in FMEA.
Support mold qualification and transfer to production for new products.
