AECOM is seeking a Mining Engineer in Mexico City to lead or support the design of open pit and underground mines, delivering conceptual, preliminary and detailed studies for LATAM clients.

The role requires collaboration with intermediate and senior engineers, mentoring of junior staff, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders while delivering robust, compliant design packages.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• 6+ years mining engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
• Ability to sign off on mining reserves as Qualified or Competent Person for NI-43101, S-K or JORC.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and review open pit and/or underground mine designs, layouts, and development plans across project stages.
• Prepare life-of-mine plans, production schedules, and equipment selection analyses.
• Optimize mine plans through trade-off studies and scenario evaluation to improve project value and reduce risk.
• Design haul roads, waste facilities, and stockpiles with input from other disciplines.
• Support procurement packages for mining equipment and prepare technical specifications.
