AECOM in Mexico City seeks a Mining Engineer to deliver conceptual through detailed design for mining projects in LATAM. You will work with senior engineers to develop mine designs, schedules, and infrastructure layouts while collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality technical outputs.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and effective communication to support project delivery, risk management, and business growth within the tailings and mining sectors.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or related discipline.
• 6+ years of mining engineering experience or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and mining software including Mine Plan, Datamine, Vulcan, Deswik, Ventsim, CAD.
• Ability to sign off on mining reserves as Qualified or Competent Person for NI-43101.
• Experience in consulting or EPCM environments on multidisciplinary mining projects.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and review open pit and underground mine designs across project stages.
• Prepare life-of-mine plans, production schedules, and equipment selection analyses.
• Lead or support technical delivery for mining studies (PEA, PFS, FS).
• Mentor junior to mid-level mining engineers within project teams.
• Represent AECOM at conferences, workshops, and client meetings to grow business.
