Shure is seeking a Senior Metrology Engineer to lead GD&T and dimensional metrology efforts. You will guide measurement methods, train operators, and drive equipment strategy while collaborating with global labs to improve inspection techniques and support product design intent.

Responsibilities include developing measurement plans, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with design and reliability teams to implement advanced metrology solutions across complex products.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME Y14.5, ISO and other standards.
• Advanced knowledge of dimensional metrology and related technologies.
• Ability to interpret and establish measurement methods for 1–3D applications using CMMs.
• Understanding of measurement applications and data distribution effects.
• Ability to mentor engineers in ASME Y14.5.1 concepts.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment and development of standards.
• Desirable: ASME Certified Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Professional, Senior level.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsabilidades

• Act as SME for GD&T and dimensional metrology.
• Set direction for dimensional metrology within projects.
• Develop and standardize inspection methods and train operators.
• Assess metrology equipment capabilities and assist with procurement.
• Apply GD&T concepts per ASME Y14.5.1 to support design intent.
• Recommend fixture, tooling, and sensor designs with Design Engineering.
• Develop expertise via networking, research, and ongoing education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
