Tenneco in Mexico is seeking a highly skilled metrology expert to ensure dimensional precision and measurement traceability across components. You will execute 3D metrology analyses, manage calibrated equipment, and apply validated methods within the Tenneco QMS framework to support manufacturing decisions.

• Expert in 3D metrology and model-based inspection methods.
• Proficient in reading and applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or ISO 14405-1.
• Experience with 3D scan data post-processing, alignment, and point cloud analysis.
• Knowledge of ISO 10012 and ISO/IEC 17025 in measurement management and testing contexts.
• Familiarity with MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) techniques.
• Preferred: microanalysis instrumentation for GMAW evaluation and leak testing knowledge.

Ensure the reliability and traceability of measurements through the accurate execution of dimensional and functional analyses of components, using calibrated equipment and validated methods, in compliance with the Tenneco Quality Management System and specific customer requirements. Ensure that measurement and testing equipment is properly managed, calibrated, and readily available to support technical decision-making and the validation of manufacturing processes

Expert in 3D metrology, model-based inspection methods, and scanning using structured light, laser, and portable measuring arm (portable CMM).

Proven expertise in conducting dimensional studies using 3D scan data, including post-processing, alignment, and point cloud data analysis through software such as PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, or GOM Inspect.

Advanced ability to read, interpret, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and/or ISO 14405-1:2016.

Skilled in the application of Model-Based Definition (MBD), interpretation, and management of digital product designs in accordance with ASME Y14.41 and Digital Product Definition (DPD) standards.

In-depth knowledge of international metrology standards, including ISO 10012 (measurement management systems) and ISO/IEC 17025 (competence of testing and calibration laboratories).

Training and demonstrated experience in Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), including repeatability, reproducibility, and linearity studies.

Experience with microanalysis instrumentation and software for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) cut and etch evaluation is preferred.

Experience in leak testing or other functional validation testing is preferred.

Knowledge of calibration report interpretation and analysis, including measurement uncertainty and traceability.

Knowledge of internal and external calibration system administration, including interval management, traceability, and regulatory compliance.

Ability to develop and validate customized measurement methods for complex parts or new product introductions.
