Job summary

Clayco is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead field operations on design-build projects nationwide. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection activities, ensuring quality control, startup, and testing on complex builds.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent trade experience with progression to management levels.
• 3-15 years of experience in highly technical commercial/industrial construction management.
• Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors to meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to jobsite.
• Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi-floor scaffolding.
• Ability to lift objects at least 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with preconstruction, design, engineering, procurement, operations, safety, quality, and all other project site management team members.
• Coordinate, direct, and monitor the activities of MEP/FP subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate and administer MEP/FP related materials, systems, and shop drawings submittals.
• Coordinate and administer MEP/FP RFIs, field changes, and other field engineering related items.
• Coordinate and administer MEP/FP Quality Control, Start-up and Energization, Pre-Functional Checklists, and Functional Performance Testing.
• Directly responsible for MEP Systems scopes including Fire Suppression, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Lighting, and more.
