Jobtailor in Querétaro, Mexico seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead application & project engineering for gas turbine packages from proposal to execution. You will deliver wing-to-wing customer solutions and guide manufacturing, sourcing, and customers.

You will develop BOMs, specifications, and drawings, support DFM, and drive TR&S, Lean Six Sigma, and design reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time project delivery.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience with BOMs, manufacturing, drawings, change management, and product design.
• 4+ years in Gas Turbine work with knowledge of package systems and balance of plant.
• 4+ years of customer service and fulfillment experience.
• Expertise in Gas Turbine &Power augmentation, installation, fuel and hydraulic systems, TR&S compliance.
• 8+ years exposure to power generation equipment manufacturing or packaging.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.
• Aeroderivative gas turbine knowledge and packaging with technical capability.

Responsabilidades

• Lead projects for the Application & Project Engineering team delivering wing-to-wing solutions from proposal to execution.
• Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, sourcing, project management, and external customers.
• Execute OTR project engineering with a global team to develop technical solutions and deliver Customizations (CGERs).
• Create and review Bills of Material from product features and options (VCC).
• Develop customer drawing packages incorporating requested customizations.
• Review build books and plans, and prepare ECO markups to update BOMs for manufacturing.
• Prepare supplier technical specifications and approve supplier drawing releases for compliance.
• Lead design Toll Gate reviews with Chief Engineers on project NPI designs.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support for Engineering Release and Handover.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and available-parts utilization.

• Lead projects for the Application & Project Engineering team, delivering wing-to-wing customer solutions for Equipment projects from competitive proposal through execution
• Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, sourcing, project management, and external customers
• Execute OTR project engineering with a global team to develop technical solutions and deliver Customizations (CGERs)
• Create and review Bills of Material from product Features and Options (VCC)
• Develop customer drawing packages incorporating requested customizations
• Review build books and build plans, and prepare ECO markups to update BOMs for manufacturing
• Prepare and process supplier technical specifications and approve supplier drawing releases for compliance with project CTQs
• Provide product clarification and answer customer questions; resolve site issues with installation and commissioning teams
• Prepare customer meeting presentations and participate in kick-off meetings and project execution discussions
• Lead design Toll Gate reviews with Chief Engineers on project NPI designs
• Review design and risk mitigation needs and communicate modifications to manufacturing and sourcing teams
• Present technical design reviews to managers and technical leaders; identify IP and Position Paper ideas and record IDLs
• Execute T&RS compliance items and ensure package compliance with local codes and regulations
• Identify and execute project savings and available-parts utilization opportunities
• Create new parts with the Part COE team as needed to complete project BOMs
• Execute CGER technical activities, including drawing redlines to standards, parts creation, and specifications
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support for Engineering Release, HOM, CKOM, PSE Handover, and Customer Meetings
• Resolve project-related issues with shop and testing teams during manufacturing and testing
• Apply configuration trades and studies
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering focal points to reduce COQ
• Communicate significant issues and developments to senior leadership
• Develop Standard Work Instructions for ITR processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience related to bills of materials, manufacturing, drawing creation, drawing change management, mechanical engineering, and product design
• Minimum of four (4) years of Gas Turbine related work experience with strong understanding of gas turbines-based packages including auxiliary systems and balance of plant equipment
• Minimum of four (4) years of focused customer service and fulfillment experience
• Proven expertise in Gas Turbine & Power augmentation, Gas Turbine Installation and Foundations, Fuel systems design, Hydraulic systems design, Lube oil systems, and TR&S compliance, codes & standards
• Minimum of eight (8) years of exposure to power generation equipment manufacturing or packaging
• Practical knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and problem-solving techniques
• Strong knowledge of Aeroderivate gas turbine and package with demonstrated technical capability
