Job summary

Clarios, LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design and development of advanced energy storage systems for automotive electrification. The role requires collaboration with electrical, systems, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure innovation, quality and manufacturability.

The successful candidate will design mechanical components with SolidWorks, apply GD&T, and drive DFMEA/DVP&R compliant validation plans, while supporting cost reduction initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in plastic part design and injection molding.
• SolidWorks experience (2+ years).
• Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP&R.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate development of energy storage systems for automotive electrification.
• Oversee mechanical components and sub-systems of lithium-ion batteries with cross-functional teams.
• Design complex components using SolidWorks for high-volume production.
• Prepare and review packaging studies for product integration.
• Lead or perform FEA and CFD analyses and validation testing.
