Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Quality Manufacturing Engineer to improve process capability, quality systems, and efficiency across manufacturing operations in Mexico. You will lead MES implementation, smart torque tool integration, and automation initiatives to reduce defects and improve traceability.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering or quality engineering.
• Experience implementing MES in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, automation, traceability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of MES across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and deploy manufacturing quality technologies including smart torque systems and automated inspection equipment.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, IT, and Supply Chain teams to improve quality and efficiency.
• Develop and standardize quality processes, work instructions, control plans, and best practices across production operations.
• Monitor processes and quality performance using statistical analysis to identify improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support new product launches by validating processes and production readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
• Develop and report key quality metrics such as first-pass yield and defect rates.
• Provide training on MES functionality and quality system requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders for successful implementation.
