Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office is seeking a Linux Administrator (IT Senior Engineer) to support UNIX/Linux and Solaris systems across multiple sites. You will manage both physical and virtual hosts, participate in data center operations, and oversee storage (SAN/RAID) and VMware environments.
The role requires strong troubleshooting, scripting skills in shell languages and Python/Perl, and experience with clustering (Veritas, Pacemaker).
Qualifications
- 3+ years IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- OR 5+ years IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced degrees may substitute for up to two years of work experience.
Responsabilités
- Administer Linux and UNIX-based hosts in complex heterogeneous environments.
- Manage physical and virtual infrastructure in data center operations.
- Configure and deploy hardware for servers (HP DL/BL, Sun, Dell, Super Micro).
- Implement storage technologies including SAN and RAID concepts.
- Operate and troubleshoot in a VMware footprint in production.
- Use Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Configure and maintain PXE installations, kickstart, and patching.
