Job summary

Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office in Mexico City is seeking a Linux Administrator (IT Senior Engineer) to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UNIX-based platforms, cross‑platform skills, and a proactive attitude to keep systems secure, highly available, and scalable.

Responsibilities include administration of physical and virtual UNIX hosts, VMware footprint, storage fundamentals (SAN/RAID), PXE and kickstart provisioning, and using

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may substitute for up to two years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Administration of physical and virtual UNIX-based hosts in complex heterogeneous environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring and deploying hardware devices (HP, Dell, Sun/Sun hardware, Super Micro) and enclosures/blade systems.
• Datacenter operations and overall service availability management.
• Knowledge of PXE installation, kickstart configurations, patching and package management.
• Use Ansible for configuration management and automation.
