Corning Incorporated in Reynosa, Mexico seeks an engineer to support and lead continuous improvement, focusing on process understanding, cost reductions, and new technology evaluations.

You will train operators, solve production problems, document changes, and contribute to quality and safety compliance while working in a team environment.

Candidates should hold a B.S. in Engineering, complete yellow belt, and have experience with project work and DMAIC initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
• Yellow Belt Training
• Track record of delivering results
• Demonstrated knowledge in a technical field
• Project team membership

Responsabilités

• Provides day-to-day problem solving support to production, development and research operations
• Trains operators and trades personnel on new equipment and processes
• Builds detailed technical understanding for key process steps
• Acts as team member or team leader on focused projects
• Troubleshoots material, process and equipment issues and implements root-cause corrective action
• Implements and documents material, process or equipment changes
• Uses simple statistical tools and DOE in problem solving and process/product improvement
• Assures quality and repeatability of processes and products
• Supports new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification, documentation and training
• Assures safety of operators and equipment and complies with safety and environmental regulations
• Develops SME knowledge of material, process and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering
• Executes cost reduction and improvement (DMAIC) projects in line with business objectives
