Job summary

embecta is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our LATAM finance team in Mexico City. This hybrid on-site role involves executing US GAAP accounting for multiple entities, coordinating with LATAM providers, and supporting tax and statutory reporting.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in finance, strong US GAAP knowledge, and experience with SAP/S4Hana, Concur, Workday, and Power BI. English fluency is required; Portuguese is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in finance or accounting with strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with SAP/S4Hana and SOX/internal controls.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams across LATAM.

Responsibilities

• Execute accounting processes for multiple entities under US GAAP.
• Coordinate international revenue, cost accounting, and receivables.
• Ensure GL accuracy; prepare journal entries and analyses.
• Manage monthly close and balance reconciliations.
• Coordinate LATAM accounting with 3rd-party providers.
• Support intercompany settlements and manual payments.
• Assist with tax returns and statutory accounts.
• Support SOX compliance and internal controls.
