Job summary

Aplazo in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Tax Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting, tax filings, and internal controls. You will manage AP end-to-end, AR and collections, T&E, and the monthly close under Mexican standards.

The role requires a CPA or equivalent, 7+ years of accounting/tax experience, strong knowledge of SAT processes, and proficiency with SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public accounting and relevant tax education.
• CPA designation and up-to-date tax regulation knowledge are desirable.
• Experience with Mexican tax filings and NIF/MFRS familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts payable end-to-end including vendor setup and invoicing.
• Oversee T&E process, policy compliance and card reconciliation.
• Manage accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
• Coordinate month-end close and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support annual external audits and internal control improvements.
• Drive ERP digitalization projects and accounting tool optimization.
