Job summary

Oyster is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to own daily accounting, monthly reporting, and ERP activities for global entities with a focus on LATAM coverage. You will balance rigorous accounting judgment with proactive stakeholder management, lead close cycles, and drive scalable processes across a distributed finance function.

Required are 5+ years in accounting, CPA or equivalent, strong multi-entity and audit experience, advanced Excel, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a senior-accountant scope.
• CPA or part-qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting, intercompany, close and audit support.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and large data manipulation.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a logical, evidence-based approach.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines across several entities.
• Strong written and spoken English; asynchronous stakeholder management.
• Proactive, judgment-driven with an automation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting and intercompany transactions for global subsidiaries.
• Prepare and review financial statements and balance-sheet reconciliations across entities.
• Lead month-end and year-end close with checklists and documentation.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual local filings and provide complete support packages.
• Oversee local statutory audits and respond to auditor questions and adjustments.
• Reconcile local statutory records to the ERP.
• Conduct financial analysis, identify trends and discrepancies, and present insights.
• Own assigned ERP activities and improve accounting standards, controls, and automation.
• Coordinate dependencies across Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and external partners.
• Execute ad hoc financial projects and mentor junior teammates.
