BorgWarner is seeking a Labor Coordinator to join the PowerDrive Systems team in San Luis Potosí, MX. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with labor laws, supporting leaders on disciplinary matters, and coordinating actions with unions where applicable.

Responsibilities include managing investigations, contract administration, PIP processes, and conciliation with authorities. Strong knowledge of Federal Labor Law and experience in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Labor Relations experience within manufacturing companies.
• Strong knowledge of Federal Labor Law and labor reform procedures.
• Union relations experience and administration of disciplinary measures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, Revolution, and Workday preferred.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with the Federal Labor Law, Internal Labor Regulations, and applicable regulations.
• Advise leaders and areas on internal policies and disciplinary procedures.
• Coordinate disciplinary actions, including reprimands, suspensions, and terminations.
• Address employee complaints to minimize workplace risks.
• Administer employment contracts.
• Implement the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) process.
• Participate in internal investigations related to Code of Conduct violations and labor disputes.
• Represent the company in conciliation proceedings before authorities.
• Manage labor relations with union representatives and ensure compliance with CBAs.
• Coordinate employee termination processes to minimize legal/financial risks.
• Handle labor inspections and government requests.
• Prepare and manage labor documentation and personnel records.
• Maintain labor-relations indicators: turnover, absenteeism, discipline, lawsuits, disputes.
• Prepare executive reports for HR and management.
• Participate in audits and cross-functional HR projects.
• Deliver training on labor laws and internal policies.
• Support organizational improvements and maintain a positive work environment.
