Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Senior JavaScript Full-Stack Developer to build production web systems. You will deliver accessible UIs and reliable JVM- and TypeScript-based services on cloud infrastructure, shaping key platform capabilities.

Responsibilities include designing full-stack solutions, building TypeScript/React features, developing backend services in Java/Kotlin, and integrating gRPC with REST APIs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack web engineering experience shipping production systems.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React with state management.
• Strong knowledge of UI accessibility patterns and browser performance optimization.
• Backend skills in Java or Kotlin on the JVM, or TypeScript for shared libraries.
• Experience with gRPC, protobuf, HTTP, and REST APIs.
• Data modeling experience with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Cloud platform experience using AWS, containers, and CI/CD.
• Rigorous testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across teams.
• Clear technical writing for designs and runbooks.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2).

Responsibilities

• Design full-stack solutions with scalable patterns and trade-offs.
• Develop TypeScript and React features with accessible UI patterns and performance.
• Build backend services using Java/Kotlin on the JVM or TypeScript for libraries.
• Implement service-to-service communication via gRPC/protobuf and HTTP/REST APIs.
• Model and evolve data in DynamoDB and PostgreSQL for features and reliability.
• Operate in AWS environments, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Coordinate cross-team decisions and drive design reviews.
• Improve observability with structured logging and tracing.
• Document architecture, interfaces, and operational guidance.
