GBS Group is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain internal tools, automation systems, and AI-driven workflows. This remote LATAM role requires ownership, API integrations, security, and reliability, with direct impact on business operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software/platform engineering, backend design, CI/CD, observability, and experience with AI tooling and orchestration.

Formación

• 5+ years in software engineering or similar
• Experience building internal tools and automation systems
• Strong backend and system design fundamentals
• Experience with API integrations and orchestration
• CI/CD pipelines experience
• Observability and monitoring experience
• Experience with workflow automation
• Hands-on with AI tools in production (LLMs/agents)
• Security fundamentals and access controls
• Knowledge of secure API design
• Familiarity with OWASP risks
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently with ownership

Responsabilidades

• Build and evolve internal tools that support core business operations
• Design systems that improve operational efficiency and scalability
• Treat internal tools as products with long-term ownership
• Design and implement automation across workflows, systems, and data pipelines
• Connect APIs, third-party tools, and internal systems into cohesive workflows
• Continuously identify and execute high-impact automation opportunities
• Integrate AI tools and AI-driven workflows into day-to-day operations
• Establish guardrails for AI usage (data exposure, prompt injection risks)
• Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment management
• Maintain infrastructure reliability, monitoring, and observability
• Troubleshoot system failures, integration issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Implement and maintain security best practices across tools and AI workflows
• Manage authentication, authorization, and access controls
• Ensure secure handling of sensitive data across integrations
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations
• Protect systems against AI-specific risks (data leakage, prompt injection)
• Work with operations and leadership to translate business needs into systems
• Improve operations by reducing manual work with automation
• Think like a product builder and own systems end-to-end
• Debug complex real-world system issues
