Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate across on-prem data centers and cloud environments (GCP, AWS). You will own scalable infrastructure, lead automation, and mentor a global team while improving observability and reliability.

You will drive migration from legacy tooling to modern IaC, design traffic systems, and develop tooling for auditable, distributed systems. Strong Linux, networking, and English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of infrastructure or systems engineering with production ownership.
• Hands-on Linux system administration at scale (Red Hat or Debian).
• Experience with remote management of hardware in hosting facilities.
• Solid networking experience (Cisco, DNS, load balancing, traffic management).
• Automation of infrastructure with Ansible, Puppet or similar.
• GCP production experience including Compute Engine, networking, storage, IAM.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.
• Excellent English proficiency (B2 or higher).

Responsibilities

• Design and operate large-scale multi data center infrastructure.
• Lead automation and migrate to infrastructure as code (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible).
• Design and maintain traffic management, load balancing, and DNS at scale.
• Build and run monitoring/observability across on-prem and cloud.

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate infrastructure across our on-prem data centers and GCP environments. This role suits an engineer who came up through hands-on operations (racking hardware, running networks, bare metal OS installs, keeping systems online at 2am) and has since built deep expertise in automation, infrastructure as code, and public cloud.
