Job summary

Flex seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus, to drive productivity through people, methods, and technology. You will lead process design, planning, and optimization for manufacturing and NPI programs, supporting SpinCo after the planned Q1 2027 spin.

You will report to the Business Excellence Manager and help optimize takt, cycle times, and direct labor requirements. The role requires BA/BS, Lean knowledge, and strong English, with experience in electronics

Qualifications

BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
Experience in a similar role or Industrial Engineer.
Advanced English (spoken and written).
Basic Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
Process mapping (VSM).
Continuous improvement methodologies: Kaizen, 5S, standardization.
Production & facilities management: capacity analysis and line balancing.
Lean & quality standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHA, IPC.
Electronics manufacturing: SMT, PCB assembly, clean room.

Responsibilities

Provide process time estimation to the quote team.
Simulate process, materials and manufacturing workflow using REFA, MOST, WITNESS.
Coordinate process planning and setup for NPI with takt, cycle time, direct labor.
Review results during prototyping and trial runs and provide feedback to NPI and sales.
Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and production data to improve efficiency.
