Blend is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design, architect, and deploy advanced Generative AI solutions in production. This role will contribute to the development of LLM-based systems, agentic workflows, and applied AI initiatives, while partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and MLOps teams.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with solid software engineering practices, and is comfortable taking AI solutions from design through production while balancing scalability,

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong expertise in transformer-based models and LLM architectures.
• Proven experience deploying applied ML or generative AI systems to production.
• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI API, CrewAI, Azure Prompt Flow, AWS Bedrock Agents, or similar tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and production-grade coding practices.
• Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, versioning, and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills at the intersection of Data Science and Engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and implement production-grade AI solutions leveraging LLMs, transformer models, and RAG pipelines.
• Design and build multi-step AI agents capable of tool/API invocation and state management.
• Deploy and optimize AI-powered applications across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Promote best practices for prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and model monitoring.
• Implement guardrails and Responsible AI practices including safety controls.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product stakeholders to move AI from prototype to production.
• Share knowledge and mentor other engineers in Python coding and modular design.
• Help define KPIs and support data-driven decision-making across AI initiatives.
