Job summary

Strider is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer in Mexico to drive scalable, secure backend services with Kafka, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript. You will design robust database schemas in MySQL or PostgreSQL, build REST APIs, and contribute to a microservices architecture.

You will also develop frontend components in React with Tailwind, guided by Figma designs, and leverage AI coding tools to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka in production environments.
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices.
• Experience with Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Experience with React and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization at scale.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools and effective prompting.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain event-driven backend services using Kafka, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Design database schemas and write efficient, scalable queries in MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Write secure code for a fraud-sensitive platform following PCI DSS best practices.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs, ensuring seamless integration with frontend applications.
• Contribute to the evolution of a microservices-based architecture.
• Build frontend components and views using React and Tailwind CSS based on design.
• Use AI coding tools to speed up development.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver user-facing features.
