Job summary

Ellucian is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to partner with our Managed Services community. You will independently lead complex technical investigations, guide customers, and coordinate across teams to drive resolution of high-impact issues.

The role spans troubleshooting, design, development, integrations, reporting, scripting, and process improvement. Strong JS skills, REST API experience, and knowledge of AI solution patterns are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in application development, technical consulting, production support, integrations, or related work.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript technologies including ReactJS and NodeJS, with the ability to read, troubleshoot, and modify code for problem resolution.
• Experience troubleshooting REST APIs, including authentication, payload validation, and error diagnosis using tools like Bruno, Postman or Insomnia.
• Experience troubleshooting inbound/outbound system integrations across multiple layers.
• Experience with Git and disciplined practices for changes and reviews.
• Familiarity with AI solution patterns such as MCP servers, tool calling, and retrieval/grounding; awareness of risks.
• Working knowledge of SQL with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL desirable.
• Experience with GraphQL is desirable.
• Experience with help desk/incident-management or ticketing systems is desirable.
• Experience with ProcessMaker or similar BPM tools is desirable.
• Strong consulting and customer-management skills; ability to communicate complex findings.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations and guide customers through complex issues from discovery to closure.
• Perform root-cause analysis across applications, API, integration, configuration, data, database, and code layers.
• Lead customer discovery and translate findings into actionable solution requirements.
• Develop and evaluate multiple solution approaches, considering impact, risk, and maintainability.
• Prototype, design, test, and debug applications, integrations, and reports across multiple tiers.
• Analyze logs, API payloads, and data to identify defects or gaps and determine corrective actions.
• Provide advanced technical consultation for Ellucian products and services.
• Lead customer-facing technical conversations and coordinate cross-team resolutions.
• Mentor consultants and teammates, sharing troubleshooting approaches and guidance.
