Athenaworks is hiring a Mid-Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable backend services and APIs. You will collaborate across teams to implement features from concept to production, ensure code quality with tests, and optimize performance while leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency.

The role requires strong English communication and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset in a fast-paced startup environment. Flexible schedule and USD payments are offered.

Formación

• 4+ years of professional software development with full stack experience.
• Backend services in Java or Python.
• Relational databases design and query optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• AWS ecosystem experience (SQS/SNS/Lambda/CloudWatch/API Gateway/DynamoDB).
• Frontend with React and TypeScript; testing with Jest or Cypress.
• Experience using AI tools to improve development.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate on technical design decisions for the project.
• Own features from conception to deployment including DB schema, logic, APIs, and frontend.
• Implement unit, integration, and functional tests across the stack.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize queries and UI rendering.
• Perform code reviews and enforce best practices.
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate across the system as needed.
• Leverage AI tools to boost efficiency, testing, and CI/CD.
