A leading financial technology firm is seeking a Financial Engineer to enhance analytics code related to interest rate derivatives and credit risk. The ideal candidate should have a strong mathematical background, advanced degree in a relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience in financial engineering. This role offers opportunities for client communication and collaboration within a hybrid work environment based in Mexico City.

Product managers are home to technical experts who work together to design and build our software and product roadmap, whereas our QA team is constantly aimed at enhancing the quality of our platform delivery through test methodologies for implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
Design and implement enhancements to Adenza's analytics code in any of the following areas : generation of interest rate curves, pricing of interest rate derivatives, linear FX products, credit derivatives, and counterparty credit risk / CVA (Credit Valuation Adjustment).
An individual FE is not expected to cover all these areas, but to start by focusing on the areas consistent with the FE's previous experience, and later expand to other areas, depending on the needs of the FE team.
Communicate with clients and requirements and propose appropriate analytics solutions to them.
Investigate and resolve issues reported by clients in the existing analytics code and coordinate as needed with Product Support.
Create and maintain unit tests for our analytics.
Create model validation spreadsheets that can be shared with other Adenza teams and with clients.
Write white papers and update the analytics documentation as needed.
A minimum of 5 years' relevant post-academic work experience.
Strong mathematical background with an advanced degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering from a top institution.
A minimum of 2 years working as a financial engineer or quantitative developer at a financial software company or supporting a trading desk or a risk department at a financial institution.
Good communication skills both verbally and in writing, and a solid command of the English language.
