Emerson in Mexicali, Mexico is seeking an experienced EHS leader to drive environmental, health and safety programs across our manufacturing site. You will implement, maintain and continuously improve programs, and lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
You will facilitate risk assessments, JSA and critical task analyses, ensure regulatory and corporate compliance, and deliver safety training on LOTO, working at heights, and contractor safety. English proficiency requested.
Support and lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across the organization.
Implement, and maintain occupational health and safety programs that support a safe and productive work environment.
Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations using structured root cause analysis methodologies and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Facilitate risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and critical task evaluations to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
Monitor compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
Drive key safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, Contractor Safety, Machine Guarding, and Permit-to-Work systems.
Design and deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
Promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement through coaching, communication, and leadership initiatives.
Provide technical EHS guidance and support across all levels of the organization.
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive EHS performance, achieve departmental goals, and support sustainable business success.
Identify, communicate, and elevate significant risks, compliance concerns, and resource needs when appropriate.

5> years related and demonstrated experience leading Environmental, Health and Safety programs within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives, EHS management systems, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
Working knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations, risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques, and root cause analysis
Knowledge of ergonomics, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), emergency preparedness and response, and contractor safety management.
Ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively across functions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including advanced English proficiency.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, environmental sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Experience with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
Knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance requirements, and environmental management programs.
Experience with hazardous materials and chemical management programs.
Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
Experience leading teams, mentoring professionals, and driving organizational change through collaboration and influence.
