Job summary

Flex Ltd. seeks a Sr. EH&S Manager for Metal-Mechanical Operations, based in Guadalajara, North Campus.

The role drives EHS excellence, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and safety culture across manufacturing, with oversight of a dynamic team supporting expansion and new product ramps. The ideal candidate has strong leadership in EHS, metal-mechanical manufacturing experience, and certifications in ISO 14001/45001, ready to partner with operations and engineering to sustain world-class

Qualifications

• BA/BS Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health, or related field.
• Fluent English.
• EHS experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading EHS organizations at Manager or Director level.
• Strong background in metal-mechanical manufacturing, heavy industrial environments or automotive.
• Proven experience in: Industrial Safety, Environmental Compliance, Emergency Response Management, BCP, EHS Culture Programs, machinery safety.
• Ability to communicate and demonstrate technical expertise with internal and external customers.
• Experience leading EH&S programs across complex manufacturing operations.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Experience with Multi-site operations support.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy EHS strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead a team of 2 EHS Managers and an organization of approximately 40-50 engineers, technicians, and EHS professionals.
• Support business expansion, new product introductions, and ramp-up activities, including metal-mechanical manufacturing operations.
• Drive machine safety programs, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Lead emergency preparedness programs, large-scale drills, crisis management, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
• Promote safety culture initiatives and employee awareness programs.
• Manage and improve EHS performance metrics, budgets, and compliance programs.
• Lead internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and Leadership teams across multiple sites.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
