Job summary

Bluelight seeks a Senior DevOps/SRE professional to join our rapidly growing software consultancy. You will design and operate scalable CI/CD pipelines, manage AWS deployments with ECS/Fargate and RDS/Aurora, and ensure security, reliability, and performance across complex systems.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps, Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker/ECS, and strong incident response skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production with multi-AZ, read replicas, and replica lag monitoring.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with Docker and ECS/Fargate for containerization/orchestration.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Security-first mindset with vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance/hardening practices.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 audit evidence and client security reviews.
• Experience with incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
• Substantial background with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects.
• Manage AWS deployments using ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, and related services.
• Implement IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation and maintain infrastructure security.
• Monitor, log, and optimize systems with OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and similar tools.
• Lead incident response, runbooks, and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software platforms.
