Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Mexico to support automotive software development and testing infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automation frameworks across distributed teams.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, delivering reliable build and test environments, and mentoring engineers on best practices. You will collaborate with development, testing, and IT teams to raise delivery efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps, CI/CD, build/release roles or similar.
• Hands-on design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced knowledge of Git and version-control workflows.
• Scripting in Python and/or Bash.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Linux environments and Docker.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration with distributed teams.

The role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, development infrastructure, and test environments used by distributed engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong DevOps experience combined with a solid understanding of software development and testing in the automotive/embedded domain. The candidate should be comfortable working across development, testing, infrastructure, and IT teams to improve automation, reliability, and delivery efficiency. This is a senior technical role requiring hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and technical ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automotive software development and testing.
• Automate build, integration, testing, deployment, and reporting processes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• Manage and optimize build and test environments used by distributed development and testing teams.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, including software, integration, and system-level testing.

• Ensure appropriate security, access control, and credential management within CI/CD environments.
• Define and maintain DevOps best practices, documentation, and technical standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, reduce manual effort, and increase development and testing efficiency.

SKILLS

Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, build/release engineering, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced knowledge of Git and version-control workflows.
