Job summary

Luxoft in Mexico is seeking an experienced automotive embedded software test engineer to perform ECU bench and smoke testing for software releases, analyze failures, and validate ADAS/LIDAR control systems. The role requires 3+ years in ECU testing, strong CAN/CAN FD/LIN knowledge, and experience with CANoe/CANape/CANalyzer.

The candidate will update test cases, review reports, and collaborate with SW development and integration teams to ensure robust software validation.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree as specified in Mechatronics/Electronics/CS.
• Experience in software and software integration testing of embedded systems.
• At least 3 years in automotive ECU testing and validation (manual testing included).
• Strong knowledge of CAN/CAN FD/LIN and automotive protocols.
• Advanced experience with automotive simulation and calibration tools (CANoe/CANape/CANalyzer).
• Solid CAPL development scripting experience.
• High understanding of SW and systems testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently.
• Proactive and collaborative attitude; adaptable to changes.

Job description

• Document the test results and software issues that came along.
• Analyze, document, and debug test failures
• Test and validate control systems for ADAS / laser scanner / LIDAR applications
• Update test cases according to the change request.
• Review test reports, analyze test results, provide technical judgment, and update the Test documentation.
• Coordinate with project management, SW development, and integration teams

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Engineering Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Computer science, or similar
• Experience in software and software integration testing of embedded systems
• At least 3 years of professional experience in automotive ECU testing and validation (including Manual Testing)
• Strong knowledge of Automotive industry communication Protocols, i.e., CAN, CAN FD LIN, etc.
• Advanced experience with automotive simulation and calibration tools (i.e., Vector CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer)
• Solid experience with CAPL development scripts
• High understanding of SW testing and Systems testing
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to solve technical problems independently
• Proactive and collaborative attitude
• Embrace and adapt to changes

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• ISTQB knowledge (ideally certified)
